BSSC CEO’s March 1, 2026 PR Report:
God continues to bless Bogard Press as we regularly pray and seek His Lordship over all matters. He is our good Shepherd and will always be present and will always lead us rightly.
Printing processes are on schedule. We continue to print some of our materials in-house with Print-on-demand printers and outsource some of our printing. This process is working well for now and keeping the processes on time to meet the needs of the churches.
Sales were average in Jan but seems to have increased for February. Filling all the orders in February has been a challenge due to time off because of ice and snow in January and due to the flu virus being among our folks. More customers have been choosing to pick up their orders at the bookstore rather than having them mailed due to rising costs of shipping. This is a cost we have no control over.
Finances at present are stable and normal. The cost of operations has increased somewhat due to the change in printing. However, if we would have purchased a new press, our cost would have gone up much more just to simply make the payments. We are being very careful as we move forward into our future, especially as it relates to future printing methods. It is possible that we will someday be looking into another offset press as the manufactures continue to improve and change them to make them more user friendly. Again, our good Shepherd will continue to lead us in these future matters.
The early sales and interest of 2026 VBS “Wonder” seem to be higher than last year’s VBS. I commend Editorial for a job-well-done on the upcoming VBS and on what I see coming in future VBS programs. If your church is not presently using Bogard Press VBS, please take a look at the material. I believe it is excellent material and cheaper than any literature of competitors. Also, teachings from Bogard Press is in harmony with the Doctrinal Statement of the American Baptist Association. I appreciate Northern Hills MBC
of Texarkana for allowing us to use their facilities each year for the annual VBS Seminar. It was a great success with many attending both in person and online.
