The Judgement at the Second Coming
“Two men shall be in the field; the one shall be taken, and the other left,” Luke 17:36
In 2018, my wife and children moved from our first house to the house we are in now. After nineteen years in our first house, we had outgrown it and needed more room. We spent three years searching and viewing dozens of houses. Our children began to think we would never actually move; however, we finally found the one we wanted. To this day, our son still says that when we finally bought the new house and moved into it he was completely shocked. After three years of searching, he said he figured it was just a thing we talked about and it would never actually happen.
The second coming of our Lord will one day actually happen. He will judge the world and separate the wheat from the tares (Matthew 13). Most of the world will be going about their daily routines absolutely unaware of what is about to happen, but it will happen. That day will not go unnoticed because every eye will see Him like one sees lightning flashing across the sky (Matthew 24:27). It will happen in a moment and will come upon many who will be completely dumbfounded by it. Yes, the world has been warned of this day for two thousand years and many have grown numb to it and some even mock the truth of it but it will one day actually happen. As it pertains to the children of God, our Heavenly Father has given us many things in His Word to know when it is close.
THOUGHT FOR TODAY
Are you ready? Jesus said to watch and pray so that we will not be caught unaware.
